But only just realized
How true it is –
That few families are like ours,
And I believe it is because
Few people are like you two.

From the very beginning
All you have done
Has proven your love
For each other and for me,
And has served as an example
Of how important it is
Not only to have a family
But to be a family.

So it should come
As no surprise
That what you have
Always treasured
Has become
Very valuable to me, too.
